Vintage Set of 4 Brass Rubbings - John D'Abernon & the Lace Lady

Sorry, this item has sold.

  • Details
Here are 4 rubbings that were done in the 1960s or 1970s by someone in Nebraska that went to Sussex, England. We acquired these from the estate. There are two brass rubbings measuring 11" x 22 1/2". One of Sir John D'Abernon and one of Lady Margaret Peyton also known as the The Lace Lady. There are two smaller framed rubbings that are of nuns and friars. These measure 8" x 10".

These rubbings are nicely framed and in very good condition. They have non-glare glass. The names are written on the back and also on the back of the Sir John rubbing is a newspaper article about brass rubbings. I am not sure whether they are lithos (I don't think) or gold heelball since I don't want to tear them up to find out.
